I know what you mean I am the same way with online card games. I think you have to just play a lots and lots of games and play advanced games with the computer and then advanced with other players. Thats how I did it.

One thing to keep in mind is that you will have more people chasing you online because there is less embarrassment when they make stupid calls. I would play tighter and more aggressive. With more hands dealt per hour online, those extra loose bets can really add up quickly.

The other thing I would do is try to find some of the weaker online poker rooms. Stay away from the brands that are pitched by the pros like Ultimate Bet. Those places are a lot tougher. Find online poker rooms that are full of casino and sports book players instead. The competition is easier there. If you are looking to find a new poker room to play at, the reviews at http://www.ranked-online-casinos.com/poker-room-reviews.html may be helpful to you. Good luck!

There are some key differences when playing poker online, as the other answers stated. This requires a different strategy than playing poker on a live table. I’ve been playing poker online profitable for a couple years now and can’t stand the slow pace of the casino games here in Vegas. I can’t give you a complete answer in this small space, but if you check out my site there is a free online poker school I listed it in the sources if you would like to take a look. See you at the final table!
