Is online poker a safe way to play?

I’ve heard of rings of players who can all play at the same tables while being in the same physical room just with different computers and IP addresses. I’ve played poker online for a while now but as of hearing this I have ceased my play. Are there really rings of people who scam others out of there money this way, or are the sites reputable enough to catch this sort of behavior?

Poker sites work hard to find and punish colluders (as they are called). Their software can recognize patterns in betting and players and can electronically detect anyone who is trying to cheat. It is highly unlikely that you’ll fall victim to them.

  2. Hey I’m selling the sportsbettingchamp.com system for $100. Only selling 50 to raise money for betting pool. It works- I’ve used it for a year. I’ll sell you the system and fwd you the lifetime picks! NO joke you MUST check it out! You will make your money back easily in one week. It cost MUCH more than the $197 it say on the site. Check it out! I hav eall 3 systems NBA, MLB and NFL. The NFL that they sell you is only 65%- The 97% one is $200 more (on top of the $197) I’ll give it all to you for $100!!!!!

  4. Whopping number of players are playing online and completely satisfied with their performance. If we play 365 days a year, we will have good and bad beats. But we tend to remember bad beats instead of good ones and then online casinos for this. It is unfair and against the spirit of the game .

THere are really people that play like that, but the poker rooms take measures, they ban them and return the money to the scammed people. At least the god poker rooms. I suggest you to check for good poker rooms at Gambling Safe http://www.gamblingsafe.net/

  9. The biggest sites (pokerstars, FTP) are reputable and do police the actions of players. The players themselves probably police one another far more meticulously than the actual sites. Join a poker forum (I’m biased and will say 2+2) to become more in touch with the online community as well.

No doubt that there are some really dodgy online casinos in the world wide web that wouldn’t bother doing anything to stop this behavior but the reputable ones work very hard to keep this scamming out of their sites to allow their players a fair game. Here is a list of some great online casinos as well as their reviews if you ever happen to be looking for a new one http://www.poker777.com/poker-reviews.php
