Does anyone play online poker? If so do you think its rigged?

I want to start playing online poker and I want to make a deposit. I’ve heard rumors about online poker might be rigged. I want to play on full tilt and I know that its a popular site. Does anyone play on that site? I know people make a living playing online poker.

  1. I doubt it.
Full tilt and pokerstars are good sites to play on.

I play on full tilt, its a good place to play. No its not rigged. Pokerstars is ok too but at microstakes full tilt with rakeback is better.

  3. No the online poker sites are not rigged. Poker providers are financed through the rake. When the player wins a pot, a small percentage of it is paid to the poker room where he is playing, which covers the various costs of operation such as support, software and personnel. That is called the house taking a cut or rake. This is also standard practise in casinos to generate revenue.

If you are a beginner, I would personally recommend that you also sign up for one (or more) of the online poker schools. The online game is different than a live game and many schools give you sign-up bonuses or bonuses when you’ve successfully passed a quiz at the end of the classes.

Full Tilt is most likely ok, but there is a lawsuit right now that alleges there are “poker bots” in their games:

And they may still be using “poker bots” :

So be advised. As for it being rigged, Full Tilt is most likely not, but there are some players who speculate there may indeed be some rigging of online poker at some sites in tournament play. Here is a link to the article:

And there is cheating at online poker, here is another article:

    Good luck!

  5. The reason some people think it’s rigged is because with player stats other players can better learn your play style and take advantage of it. The actual sites themselves are not rigged, they wouldn’t survive if they were.
